A Letter from the Superintendent:

January 15, 2025

Dear Somerset County Public Schools Community,

Welcome back! It is with great excitement and anticipation that we greet the start of a new year, 2025! As we come together to kick off 2025, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to each member of our school community—students, families, educators, staff, and administrators—who make Somerset County Public Schools such a special place to learn, grow, and thrive.

2025 is brimming with potential and new opportunities for our students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. We have worked diligently the first few months of this school year, to ensure our students keep Stepping Into Excellence. Our talented staff is eager to provide an inspiring and supportive learning environment for all students.

As we set out on this journey together, let’s remember that the success of each student is built on the strong foundation of collaboration. Our parents, teachers, and community members play an essential role in fostering the growth and development of every child, and we are grateful for your continued support.

Twenty-twenty five promises exciting opportunities for our students and the chance to build on the great work we’ve already done. I encourage all of you to stay connected and engaged throughout the year. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the months ahead. Here’s to a successful and inspiring school year!

Warm regards,

Dr. Ava Tasker-Mitchell
