WESTOVER, MD (December 3, 2024) – The Knights of Columbus, Council #11616 of Pocomoke City, MD, recently made a generous donation of winter coats to Somerset County Public Schools (SCPS) students following the completion of a winter coat drive. A total of 96 winter coats for boys and girls were delivered to the Somerset Board of Education for distribution to students at Deal Island Elementary, Carter G. Woodson Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Princess Anne Elementary, and Somerset Intermediate, just in time for the colder weather.
Victoria Green, Supervisor of Public Relations, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating, “We deeply appreciate the support of the Knights of Columbus. A warm winter coat ensures our students can stay comfortable and focused on learning, no matter the weather. Community partnerships like this make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.”
