Today, our 8 Teachers of the Year were given the royal treatment at the Teacher of the Year Luncheon at SCTHS. They enjoyed a limousine ride from their school to the event, enjoyed a fantastic meal prepared by second year Culinary Arts Program students, and were showered with awards, keepsakes of appreciation and gifts from our Somerset Community! Good luck to all of our teachers at tomorrow night's Teacher of the Year Awards Ceremony & Banquet where we will announce the 2024-2025 Somerset Teacher of the Year!

In honor of Read Across America, the Maryland State Education Association (MSEA) donated a collection of new children's books to Deal Island Elementary School's media center! MSEA President, Cheryl Bost visited DIS today to read a few of the new books to students in PreK - 2nd grade. Thank you, Ms. Bost and MSEA for this generous donation!
