So proud of Mr. L. Bell for his hard work and dedication to his education. He was named a Maryland Emerging Scholar in 2024 and was recognized by the Somerset County Board of Education and Dr. Tasker-Mitchell tonight at the Board Meeting. Mr. Bell is a shining star scholar at both Crisfield Academy & High School and the Somerset County Technical High School. 🦀

Teachers of the Year should be:
* Fulltime teachers (classroom, resource, or media);
* Must be tenured and have a valid teaching certificate;
* Individuals who have completed a minimum of 5 years of teaching prior to the year of their selection as Local Teacher of the Year (i.e., they should be in at least year 6 of teaching);
