Good evening, Wildcat families! This is Mrs. Taylor, principal of Princess Anne Elementary School, with the weekly updates for the week of May 13th. First, I would like to thank Mrs. Charissa Thomas, parent volunteer, who chaired the teacher appreciation event that was held throughout last week. Our staff had a wonderful week of food and fun that showed them how much that the PAES families and students truly appreciate them! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to make this event such a success. The spring administration of MAP testing will begin this week for Kindergarten and First Grade. Schools will be closed for students and staff on Tuesday, May 14th due to the primary election. Pre K 4 students will be going on a field trip to the playseum either on Wednesday, May 15 or Thursday, May 16th, depending on their classroom . We will have our Spring Fling on Thursday for all students and families. It will be held outside, weather permitting, from 5:00-6:30. Families will meet the teachers for the next grade level for their child and also receive materials to help their child maintain skills over the summer break. We will also have several community partners that will have information to share with families. Dinner will be provided. We hope that everyone can attend! Please be sure to turn in the RSVP form as soon as possible. I hope that everyone has a wonderful rest of their weekend. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning!
