Good evening Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week.  Congratulations to our staff member of the week, Ms. Phaedra Spencer.  Ms. Spencer worked really hard to set up and run a successful book fair.  WES is truly lucky to have had such a wonderful school-wide event.  Way to go Ms. Spencer!  Congratulations to our students of the week; Tiyah Whidbee in 3rd Grade and Gannicus Brophy in 5th Grade.  Tiyah helped her friend at lunch and did a great job modeling the Woodson Way!  Gannicus is a great role model and follows the expectations daily.  We are so proud of all of you!

Tomorrow, Monday, December 4th is picture re-take day.  Students who need to have their Fall pictures retaken or whom did not get to take them can do so tomorrow.

Wednesday, December 6th will the Kindergarten through Second Grade annual Winter Concert at CAHS at 6:00 pm.  Students can begin arriving at 5:30 pm and there will be a staff member in the cafeteria to receive them.  We are looking forward to seeing the students perform under the musical direction of our very talented Mrs. Korinne Jones.  Mrs. Jones has done a wonderful job putting the concerts together, which takes an enormous amount of work and preparation.  We appreciate all that goes into letting our students shine.

Friday, December 8th, Mrs. Jones continues to spread musical joy as the 4th & 5th grade Choir members visit the Nursing Home to sing for the residents and staff there.  In addition Friday is a casual day only for those students or staff who have brought in a canned food item for our food drive, which benefits the WES Food Pantry.  Please make sure your child follows the casual day guidelines when choosing their outfit.

Just a reminder that Monday, December 11th will be the last day for Clubs.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and have a great evening.
