Good evening, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the week.  Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Andrea Dryden.  Mrs. Dryden teaches Pre-K and is a phenomenal teacher.  She is a master at her craft; encouraging independence and responsibility while making learning magical.

Our Students of the Week are Autumn Marshall and Brody Rees in 2nd grade.  Autumn is a great friend and helpful to all in 2nd grade.  You are a rockstar Autumn!  Brody is a true rockstar!  He is rocking our socks off in 2nd grade!  We are very proud of both of these students!!!

We hope everyone has stayed safe and warm over the last week, during the inclement weather closure.  We are super excited to welcome back our students and staff tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Monday, January 13th is a 2-hour delay.  Students can be dropped off beginning at 10:35 am.  On a 2-hour delay, breakfast is not served at school.  Please make sure students are able to eat before they come to school.

Midterms for Quarter 2 will be issued on Wednesday, January 15th.  Please check your child’s bookbag for their midterm report.

There will be an early dismissal for students at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 16th.  Parent & Teacher conferences will be during the day from 1:00 pm through 3:30 pm.  Information should be coming home from your child’s teacher regarding conferences.  Please reach out to them if you would like to set up an in person or telephone conference.

Please make sure students are dressed in appropriate uniform attire when they return.  Also, since it is colder out, please make sure they have a school approved sweater or sweatshirt in uniform colors without a hood.  Hoodies are not permitted on a uniform or casual day.

Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle as we no longer have cups, so they can refill their water from the coolers.

There will be no school on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and have a good evening.
