Good evening, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the week. Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Elaine Smith. Mrs. Smith goes above and beyond to support both students and staff, always bringing a great attitude and a helping hand. Woodson is a better place because of her.
Congratulations to our Students of the Week, Ja’Marcus Walker and Hunter Snyder in 2nd grade. Ja’Marcus is an active participant in the class and works well with others. Hunter is very respectful and pays close attention to his work. He is always doing his best. Way to go boys!!!
Session II Clubs begin tomorrow, Monday, March 3rd. There are still some openings. If you are interested, please contact Ms. Sterling.
This week we celebrate “Read Across America Week”. We have themed dress daily for free. If students choose not to participate in the themed dress, which is optional, they MUST wear their school uniform. Monday, March 3rd, wear any color stripes to match the Cat’s Hat. Tuesday, March 4th, wear animal print or camo. Wednesday, March 5th, dress in your wackiest attire. Thursday, March 6th, wear your crazy socks, and Friday, March 7th, wear your school appropriate pajamas.
This Friday, March 7th our Band & Choir Students will be taking a trip to see the symphony at Salisbury University. We are very excited that our students will be able to enjoy this experience.
Our Woodson School Community has been deeply affected by the tragic loss of one of our very own precious Pre-K students. We extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to the family during this difficult time and will continue to keep them in our hearts and minds.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and have a good evening.
