Good afternoon, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some important reminders for families. Now that we are well into the second half of the school year, we would like to remind our families that students are to come in school daily dressed in the appropriate uniform attire. Students are to wear a collared shirt that is a solid uniform color. Shirt colors are black, white, navy blue, baby blue, gold, pale yellow, burgundy, pink, orange, hunter green, and purple. Students can wear a Woodson Elementary sweatshirt over a collared uniform shirt. Students must wear uniform bottoms in one of three colors, which are black, navy, or khaki. Students can choose to wear uniform bottoms in shorts, skirts, rompers, pants, or shorts. Shorts, skorts, skirts, dresses, and rompers should not be higher than two inches above the knee. Uniform bottoms should not have rips or holes in them.
We would also like to remind families that at Woodson Elementary School we follow the SCPS Discipline Policy #600-17 and the Discipline Matrix for Elementary Schools. We follow the progressive discipline procedures here at Woodson Elementary School. Please encourage your child to follow the Woodson Way every day. We have a lot of fun field trips, behavior trips, monthly incentives, assemblies, Sports Day, and many other great end of year activities, that we want all children to be able to celebrate and participate in.
In addition, if students come to school with an electronic device, please share with them that it should be turned off and out of sight according to our county cell phone policy.
Thank you as always for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. If you have any questions, about any of these policies, please feel free to contact our administrative team at Woodson Elementary School.
Have a wonderful evening and thank you for taking the time to read this message.
