Last night, during the January 21, 2025, Somerset Board of Education meeting, we had the honor of witnessing the ceremonial swearing-in of our two newest Board members, Mary Beth Bozman and Matthew Lankford. The oath of office was administered by Charles T. Horner, Clerk of Court for Somerset County. In addition, the Board held its annual reorganization, electing Matthew Lankford as Board Chairperson and Andrew Gleason as Vice Chairperson. Congratulations to both on their new leadership roles. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Bozman and Mr. Lankford as they begin their service to the students, families, and staff of Somerset County Public Schools, and thank all Board members for their dedication to ensuring success for all students!

Reminder: School are closed Monday, January 20 observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This day is an opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s powerful legacy of service, equality, and justice for all. Schools are closed Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 for students & instructional staff. 12-month staff should report at 10am or use liberal leave. We appreciate the state, county, & town employees working to clear the roads. Despite their best efforts, high winds & frigid temperatures continue to make roads unsafe for school bus travel.
