Students enjoyed a performance by GoGreen BMX Tours and Shows to help start Mental Health Awareness week. Ms. Johnson, Ms. Bell, Ms. Corbin, and Mrs. Dowden showed how important mental health is to them by volunteering to be part of their stunts.

Students may wear casual for free on Friday, May 10th. Please wear green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month. Please be mindful of the county dress code when choosing your perfect outfit.
The last day of the month are free casual days for students. Additional casual days are announced by the office staff. The following guidelines must be followed for ALL casual days:
Jeans may be worn, CANNOT have rips, shreds ,holes, or shreds with patches behind them even if they are purchased that way.
All clothing (dresses, skirts, or shorts) should be at least fingertip length, when hands are at sides. Please be mindful it should be respectable and modest in length.
Students are NOT permitted to wear jackets/shirts with hoods, NO tank tops, NO backless tops, NO halter tops, NO low cut tops, NO crop top or mid-drift tops that show the stomach, and NO ripped tops.
Leggings should be worn with a top that comes down to mid-thigh or a tunic top.
If a student does not follow the dress code guidelines, a parent/guardian will be called to bring appropriate clothing to the school for their child. Students may lose their casual day privilege if they do not follow the casual day guidelines.

Happy National Nurses Week!!! We are so fortunate to have three amazing nurses at Woodson. Their kind and compassionate nature helps students feel at ease when they don't feel well at school. Thank you ladies for loving our students.

Summer school enrollment is now open to all students. Please fill out the Summer School Enrollment Form found on your students PowerSchool account. If you need assistance filling out this form, please call the school. We can help you over the phone or set up an appointment for you come to the school. Deadline for enrollment is May 31st.

4th grade Teackletonia Exhibition
Attention kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade families. Friday, May 3rd is the ballet trip to see the Wizard of Oz. Students will need to begin arriving at 8:15 to the school. 3rd grade will meet out front by the picnic tables, 1st grade and kindergarten will meet in their classrooms. The buses for the trip will be leaving Woodson at 8:30 and we will be unable to hold the bus for anyone. Students will have a pizza party picnic when they return to WES. If your student does not like pizza, feel free to send them a packed lunch. Students attending the ballet may wear "Sunday best" casual or school uniform.
Atención familias de kindergarten, 1° y 3° grado. El viernes 3 de mayo es el viaje del ballet para ver al Mago de Oz. Los estudiantes deberán comenzar a llegar a la escuela a las 8:15. El tercer grado se reunirá al frente junto a las mesas de picnic, el primer grado y kindergarten se reunirán en sus salones de clase. Los autobuses para el viaje saldrán de Woodson a las 8:30 y no podremos reservar el autobús para nadie. Los estudiantes tendrán un picnic con pizza cuando regresen a WES. Si a su estudiante no le gusta la pizza, no dude en enviarle un almuerzo para llevar. Los estudiantes que asistan al ballet pueden usar el uniforme escolar o vestido de iglesia.
